WEEE disposal methods vary depending on whether householders or retailers are involved.
WEEE & Householders
Householders can dispose of unwanted WEEE at appointed Recycling Centres throughout the Dublin Region for FREE.
Alternatively householders can take back WEEE to retailers free of charge. The take back system operators on a one-for-one basis only provided the WEEE returned is of a similar type or performed the same function as the new item purchased - i.e. you can exchange an old toaster for a new one but you cannot return a toaster while purchasing a new microwave.

WEEE & Retailers
Retailers can bring take back WEEE to a designated Local Authority collection centre for recovery provided they have registered their shop/retail unit with the relevant local authority.
For guidelines on how to register, transport and store WEEE click here
Once the retailer has registered with their Local Authority they must then chose a collection centre where they can drop off WEEE.
