Order Your Home Compost Bin

Compost bins are tidy, relatively cheap and available from your local authority at a reduced cost. For details on how to order a home compost bin from your local authority, read on .

 

Fingal Co Council

 

Subsidised compost bins are available from Fingal County Council at the Estuary and Coolmine Recycling Centres. Prices at the centres are as follows:

Freestanding compost cone € 32
Rotating Compost Tumbler  € 64
Recycled Kitchen Caddy     € 8

 

Payment can be made by laser or credit card (cash and bin tags will not be accepted).

 

 

Dublin City Council

Subsidised Home Composting Starter Kits (including Compost Bin 280L, Kitchen Caddy and Booklet) are available from Dublin City Council priced €40. The Compost Bin and Caddy can be bought individually for €30 and €10 respectively.

 

 

These can be purchased at the following location:

  • Shamrock Terrace, Aldborough Parade, North Strand, Dublin 3
  • Ringsend Recycling Centre, Pigeon House Road, Dublin 4
  • The Greenhouse, 17 St Andrew Street, Dublin 2

    Alternatively, you may order a compost bin and have it delivered for €55.  Please telephone our Customer Services Department at 222 1000 for further details.
Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council
Subsidised compost bins are available from Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council (Ph: 01-2054817)  and prices are as follows:

 

  • 330 litre Compost Bin - cost €35

You can buy and collect compost bins from:

  • Dundrum Office (located beside the Dundrum Luas Station, behind the
    Bank of Ireland on the Main Street)
  • Ballyogan Recycling Centre, Carrickmines Road, Dublin 18. (Phone: 01-2913600)

Accepted methods of payment include cash or cheque (no credit or laser cards). Cheques can be made payable to Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, Marine Rd, Dun Laoghaire.

South Dublin County Council

South Dublin County Council is now providing 235-litre capacity Home Composters to domestic customers living within the Local Authority area at a price of €40.00 each.  To obtain an application form, which should be returned to us with you cheque or postal order marked 'Composter', please telephone 01-414-9000 or write to:
