Wheelie Bin Charges for 2006

Revised charges will be introduced in for householders in the Dublin City Council functional area. The table below outlines the new charges for householders.  Householder bills are issued quarterly and charges are broken down accordingly.

The standing charge is a mandatory annual charge that all householders are required to pay.
The charge per collection is only charged when your bin is collected and emptied.

New Charges for Tagged Bags in 2006

If you use bags from the 1st January, each bag must be labelled and each label will cost €2.65.

Charges for Apartments in 2006

Most apartments use large Eurobins and from the 1st of January an increase a in waste charges will be introduced. 

In Private Apartments/Flats it is the responsibility of the landlord or management company to ensure that the waste charges are paid and that bins are tagged.  Eurobins can be purchased from Customer Services Centre, Civic Offices Wood Quay, Dublin 8.

In City Council Apartments/Flats the tenants are responsible for payment of their own waste charges.  The charge will be based on the number of collections of the Eurobins with the charge based on  €29 per Eurobin collection. Tenants should contact the housing department for details on their own complex.

Waiver Schemes

Waivers will be available for households whose sole income is from social welfare or where the household income falls below the income tax threshold.  Hardship cases are assessed on an individual basis.
