South Dublin Co. Co. Car Removal Service

Private vehicles are removed for a fee of €150 from the owners' house or elsewhere in the County.  Abandoned cars are also removed when reported to the council.  The procedures for reporting an abandon car and removal of private vehicles are as follows:

Procedure:

1   Contact the Cleansing Section, Environmental Services Department on 4149215 and ask for a Request for Removal of Vehicle Form. This will be sent out to you in the post along with an invoice for the payment of the €150 fee.

2   Registered owner fills out a "Request for Removal of Vehicle" Form and send this along with the Vehicle Licensing Certificate / log book and the €150 fee (cheque or postal order made payable to South Dublin County Council) in to the Cleansing Section, Environmental Services Department.

3   Burnt out and abandoned vehicles are deemed to take priority and would be collected before Domestic Vehicles.  Generally, the removal time is within 5-10 days.  However, priority is given to the removal of vehicles which are deemed to pose traffic hazards to the public, and therefore the removal of these illegally abandoned/burned-out vehicles may delay the removal of domestic vehicles.
