| Recycle Search Online Help |
The Recycle Search section of DublinWaste.ie is easy to use. However, we often get asked some questions about what materials are accepted at the different Recycling Centres. Below is some brief information about the different types of recycling facilities available in the Dublin Region.
There are 4 different types of Recycling Facilities. All these Recycling Facilities are listed in the "Search by Location" section of the Recycle Search and can be explained as follows:
Recycling Centre – This type of Recycling Facility is top of the ladder when it comes to the amount of materials accepted for recycling . There are 11 Recycling Centres in the Dublin Region which are all staffed and which take a large range of both recyclable, including Electronic and Electrical Waste as well as other hazardous waste. Most items accepted are free of charge however charges do apply to some materials.
Bring Centre – This type of Recycling Facility is similar to a recycling centre but serves a smaller community and accepts fewer waste streams. They are staffed and have designated opening hours. There are 10 such facilities in the Dublin Region that are all managed by Dublin City Council. Usually a Bring Centre accepts plastics, papers & cardboards, textiles and glass.
Bring Bank – This type of Recycling Facility is located in over 300 locations across the Dublin Region and is usually open 24 hours. Materials accepted at Bring Banks include i.e. usually glass, cans, and textiles.
Green Waste Facility – This type of Recycling Facility accepts Green organic waste only. e.g. prunings, grass cuttings and garden waste .
All relevant details, including map location, contact details and opening hours for a particular facility can be found on the Recycle Search page.
