Overview of Local Authority Waiver Scheme

All of the Dublin Region's local authorities operate a generous waiver or reduced charge scheme exempting low-income households from paying waste charges. The waivers applies to households whose sole income is a Department of Social, Community and Family Affairs allowance or pension and households whose total income is exempt from income tax. People on low income may also qualify.

The scheme also has provision for full or partial waiver for genuine hardship cases at the discretion of the Local Authority.

Waiver application forms are enclosed with bills.
