To help FREE Trade your item, DublinWaste encourages members to include picture(s) of the item(s). The following is a quick set of guidelines to help users upload images.

To upload an image to accompany your item, first locate the image from where you have it stored. Click on 'Browse files' button as shown below.

When you click the "Browse files" button, the window as shown below will appear. Using this window simply choose the image you wish to upload from your computer's hard drive or remote storage device.

Uploading an Image 

DublinWaste.ie have extra measures in place to ensure all our users can successfully upload their images.

1) We now have a file size restriction in place, so the system will not allow any image over 2MB to be uploaded. If your picture is over 2MB in size you can compress the filesize using special FREE software issued by Microsoft. Click here to download the software required. N.B. compressing the filesize will not in any way adjust the quality of your image.

2) Our system should automatically resize your image also, so the size of the image attachched to your item will be of an appropriate size. 

If you have uploaded your image successfully the following will display.  

If the following screenshot appears your image is corrupted and cannot by uploaded. Users should review the format, size and other propeties of their images if the prompt shown below appears.

3) To attach another image to your item, simply click on 'Attach another image' and a new browser window will appear. Repeat Step 1 as before.

When you hit 'Post Now', all your images should upload to your item.

A general guideline when uploading images of 1 MB in size should take roughly 6 minutes using a dialup connection and less than 1 minute with a broadband connection.
