| Waste Collection Services - Christmas 2009 |
Over the christmas period a number of changes have been made to the waste collection services in each Local Authority Area to ensure that householders receive the best possible service this christmas.
Details of the changes that will be in place for each Local Authority Area are available below.

| Dublin City Council |
There will be no waste collection service on Friday, December 25th.
The collection scheduled for Friday 25th December 2009 will take place on Saturday, 26th December 2009.- There will be no waste collection service on Friday, 1st January 2010.
The collection scheduled for Friday 1st January 2010 will take place on Saturday, 2nd January 2010. - Waste collections will take place as normal on all other dates.

| Fingal County Council |
- Only Black & Brown Bin Collections scheduled on Friday 25th December 2009 and Friday 1st January 2010 will be affected over the christmas period.
- Brown Bin collections scheduled for Friday December 18th 2009 will proceed as scheduled.
Please note a black bin collection will take place on Saturday 19th December 2009 for these customers also (instead of the black bin collection on Friday, 25th December). - All black and brown bin collections will go ahead as scheduled on Friday 1st January 2010.
- Customers scheduled for a brown bin collection service on the 1st January 2010 will also have a black bin collection on Saturday, 2nd January 2010.
- Customers with a brown bin collection scheduled for Friday, 25th December will have a brown bin collection on Saturday 19th December instead.

- There will be no collection service from Friday 25th December until Friday 1st January 2010 (inclusive)
- Normal collections will take place on Thursday, 24th December
- Householders whose collection day is Friday will have a collection on Saturday 2nd January 2010.
| South Dublin County Council |
- There will be no waste collections on Friday, 25th December 2009. Collections scheduled for this date will take place on Saturday, 2nd January 2010.
- There will be no waste collections on Saturday, 26th December 2009 and Monday 28th December 2009.
- There will be no waste collections on Friday, 25th December 2009. Collections scheduled for this date will take place on Saturday, 2nd January 2010.
- Grey bin collections scheduled for Friday December 25th and Friday 1st January 2010 will occur on Saturday 2nd January 2010.
| Green Bin Collections |
Householders please note:
- Any green bin collections schedued for Friday 25th December 2009 will take place on Saturday 19th December 2009
- Any green bin collections schedued for Friday 1st January 2010 will take place on Saturday 2nd January 2010.
- Please note that extra packaging that does not fit in the green bin period may be placed in an official green bag or a plain clear bag neatly tied. Packaging waste in Black Bags will NOT be collected.
- Normal Collection Guidelines will resume from Monday January 18th 2010 onwards.
