Bring Banks

Bring Banks are an essential outlet for householders to recycle materials which often cannot be put in the household green bin collection such as glass and textiles. Bring bank facilities in the Region accept glass, textiles, plastics, cans, paper and card, composite packaging and bateries. The number of bring banks in the Dublin Region has decreased from 321 in 2006 to 304 in 2008 with the main changes coming in the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council area*.

To locate the nearest bring bank to your home or place of work use, click here and use the online search facility and start recycling today!

In addition, if you would like to organise bring banks for your community or would like to report the littering of a local bring bank click here and help protect your environment.

*Note: Due to a reclassification of bring banks the number recorded in the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown (DLR) functional area has decreased since 2007. This is due to the exclusion of battery collection points previously recorded in this category. It is also important to note that there is a kerbside glass collection service provided by private collectors in the DLR area.
